New York High School Basketball - Brewster holds off Dover

(January 25, 2008: Brewster, NY 10509) Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Brewster Bears (Brewster, NY) and the visiting Dover Dragons (Dover Plains, NY), saw Brewster's basketball squad hold off Dover by a count of 66-62.

With the victory, Brewster upgrades its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Yorktown (Yorktown Heights, NY) to play the Huskers in a Section 1 II - Central challenge on Tuesday, January 29. The Huskers come into the challenge with a record of 6-11. Yorktown lost 74-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Briarcliff (Briarcliff Manor, NY)

Next up, the Dragons play the Haldane Blue Devils (Cold Spring, NY) in a Section 1 IV - C challenge, on Monday, January 28. Dover will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 14-1 record after their 55-21 non-league win over Tuckahoe (Eastchester, NY).
