New York High School Basketball - Greeley overwhelms Somers

(January 15, 2008: Chappaqua, NY 10514) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Greeley Quakers (Chappaqua, NY) and the visiting Somers Tuskers (Lincolndale, NY), saw Greeley's basketball squad trounce Somers by a score of 49-24.

With the victory, Greeley improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Quakers travel to Brewster (Brewster, NY) to battle the Bears in a Section 1 II - Central challenge on Thursday, January 17. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 6-7. Brewster won 54-47 in their recent league challenge against Lakeland (Shrub Oak, NY)

Next up, the Tuskers battle the Mamaroneck Tigers (Mamaroneck, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 19. Somers will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 46-43 league win over New Rochelle (New Rochelle, NY).
