New York High School Football - Scarsdale can't get by Mt. Vernon

(September 29, 2007: Mt. Vernon, NY 10552) Mt. Vernon Knights (Mt. Vernon, NY) fans left the game content Saturday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Scarsdale Raiders (Scarsdale, NY), 18-13 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Mt. Vernon improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Lincoln (Yonkers, NY) to confront the Lancers in a Section 1 AA - South test on Saturday, October 6. The Lancers come into the test with a record of 0-4. Lincoln lost 33-0 in their recent league test against Yorktown (Yorktown Heights, NY)

With the loss, Scarsdale drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Mamaroneck (Mamaroneck, NY) to play the Tigers in a Section 1 AA - Central battle on Saturday, October 6. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 2-2. Mamaroneck won 19-0 in their recent non-league battle against Roosevelt (Yonkers, NY)
