(March 2, 2008: Poughkeepsie, NY 12603) In Sunday's non-league match, the visiting Mt. Vernon Knights basketball team scored a decisive 75-52 triumph over the Poughkeepsie Pioneers.

In their next game, the Knights face the Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, March 4. Mt. Vernon will attempt to move on its 21-3 season record.

With the defeat, Poughkeepsie moves to 18-4 on the year.
