New York High School Basketball - Eastchester crushes Somers

(December 20, 2007: Eastchester, NY 10709) Eastchester Eagles (Eastchester, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Somers Tuskers (Lincolndale, NY), 78-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Eastchester upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Sleepy Hollow (Sleepy Hollow, NY) to play the Horsemen in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 2. The Horsemen go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Sleepy Hollow lost 62-60 in their recent non-league bout against Greeley (Chappaqua, NY)

Next up, the Tuskers play the Lakeland Hornets (Shrub Oak, NY) in a Section 1 II - Central bout, on Friday, January 4. Somers will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 49-46 non-league win over Tuckahoe (Eastchester, NY).
