New York High School Basketball - Ketcham holds off Jay

(February 3, 2008: Wappingers Falls, NY 12590) Ketcham Indians (Wappingers Falls, NY) backers were pleased Sunday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Jay Patriots (Hopewell Junction, NY), 52-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ketcham upgrades its record to 5-11 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Carmel (Carmel, NY) to play the Rams in a Section 1 I - C bout on Monday, February 4. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 0-17. Carmel lost 59-57 in their recent league bout against Mahopac (Mahopac, NY)

Next up, the Patriots play the Arlington Admirals (LaGrangeville, NY) in a Section 1 I - C bout, on Monday, February 4. Jay will attempt to advance on its 6-9 season record. The Admirals go into the test with a 12-4 record after their 62-60 non-league win over Roosevelt (Hyde Park, NY).
