(January 7, 2008: Suffern, NY 10901) In Monday's non-league match, the host Suffern Mounties basketball team scored a good 67-57 triumph over the Gorton Wolves.

In their next game, the Mounties confront the North Rockland Raiders (Thiells, NY) in a Section 1 I - B match, on Wednesday, January 9. Suffern will attempt to move on its 8-2 season record. The Raiders enter the match with a 2-9 record after their 48-46 non-league loss to Spring Valley (Spring Valley, NY).

With the defeat, Gorton moves to 7-5 on the year. The Wolves travel to Lincoln (Yonkers, NY) to confront the Lancers in a Section 1 I - D match on Wednesday, January 9.
