New York High School Basketball - Jay overwhelms Carmel

(January 29, 2008: Carmel, NY 10512) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Jay Patriots (Hopewell Junction, NY) and the host Carmel Rams (Carmel, NY), saw Jay's basketball squad trounce Carmel by a score of 53-26.

With the victory, Jay improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Patriots host Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie, NY) to battle the Warriors in a Section 1 I - C challenge on Thursday, January 31. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 7-7. Our Lady of Lourdes won 50-37 in their recent league challenge against Ketcham (Wappingers Falls, NY)

Next up, the Rams battle the Arlington Admirals (LaGrangeville, NY) in a Section 1 I - C challenge, on Thursday, January 31. Carmel will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record. The Admirals come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 64-43 league win over Mahopac (Mahopac, NY).
