New York High School Basketball - Panas holds off Kennedy Catholic

(December 12, 2007: Somers, NY 10589) Panas Panthers (Cortlandt Manor, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Kennedy Catholic Gaels (Somers, NY), 45-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Panas upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Brewster (Brewster, NY) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Friday, December 14. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 3-1. Brewster won 67-47 in their recent non-league bout against Harrison (Harrison, NY)

Next up, the Gaels play the Jay Indians (Cross River, NY) in a Section 1 II - Central bout, on Friday, December 14. Kennedy Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 80-52 non-league loss to Port Chester (Port Chester, NY).
