New York High School Basketball - Peekskill prevails Panas

(January 3, 2008: Peekskill, NY 10566) Peekskill Red Devils (Peekskill, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Panas Panthers (Cortlandt Manor, NY), 77-64 in a league bout.

With the win, Peekskill upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Red Devils host St. Anthony's (Melville, NY) to encounter the Friars in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 5. The Friars go into the bout with a record of 4-3. St. Anthony's won 53-40 in their recent non-league bout against Smithtown East (Smithtown, NY)

Next up, the Panthers encounter the Ossining (Ossining, NY) in a Section 1 II - North bout, on Monday, January 7. Panas will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 66-52 league loss to Poughkeepsie (Poughkeepsie, NY).
