New York High School Volleyball - Lakeland over Harrison

(September 23, 2008: Shrub Oak, NY 10588) The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Lakeland Hornets (Shrub Oak, NY) and the visiting Harrison Huskies (Harrison, NY), saw Lakeland's volleyball squad beat Harrison by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Lakeland upgrades its record to 8-1 on the year. The Hornets travel to Putnam Valley (Putnam Valley, NY) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 24. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Putnam Valley lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Westlake (Thornwood, NY)

The Huskies now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Spring Valley for a Section 1 Class A - League C bout on Wednesday, September 24. Harrison will play a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Yorktown (Yorktown Heights, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 0-5.
