(October 11, 2008: Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510) The Briarcliff Bears football team (Briarcliff Manor, NY), was beaten 34-7 in Saturday's league challenge with the visiting Pleasantville Panthers (Pleasantville, NY)

The Panthers (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Dover (Dover Plains, NY). The Dragons come into the Section 1 B-2 challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Dover was beaten by Putnam Valley (Putnam Valley, NY), 36-0, in a league challenge.

The Bears now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Edgemont for a Section 1 B-2 challenge on Friday, October 17. Briarcliff will meet a Panthers team coming off a 27-14 league win over Kennedy Catholic (Somers, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 5-1.
