New York High School Basketball - Suffern prevails Clarkstown North

(January 11, 2008: New City, NY 10956) Suffern Mounties (Suffern, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Clarkstown North Rams (New City, NY), 67-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Suffern upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Mounties host Clarkstown South (West Nyack, NY) to encounter the Vikings in a Section 1 I - B bout on Thursday, January 17. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Clarkstown South won 50-48 in their recent league bout against Clarkstown North (New City, NY)

Next up, the Rams encounter the Warwick Wildcats (Warwick, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 12. Clarkstown North will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 70-60 non-league win over Goshen Central (Goshen, NY).
