New York High School Basketball - Briarcliff routs Preston

(December 1, 2007: Bronx, NY 10465) In Saturday's non-league outing, the Briarcliff Bears (Briarcliff Manor, NY) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Preston Panthers (Bronx, NY), by a margin of 58-26.

The Bears (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Croton-Harmon (Croton on Hudson, NY). The Tigers go into the Section 1 III - A outing with a 0-0 record.

The Panthers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Our Lady of Victory Academy for a Catholic outing on Tuesday, December 4. Preston will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 70-28 league win over St. Ursula (Mount Vernon, NY). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-1.
