New York High School Volleyball - Lakeland tips Yorktown

(October 20, 2008: Shrub Oak, NY 10588) In Monday's league contest, the Lakeland Hornets (Shrub Oak, NY) volleyball squad nudged the visiting Yorktown Huskers (Yorktown Heights, NY), by a margin of 3-2.

Next up, the Hornets face the Fox Lane Foxes (Bedford, NY) in a Section 1 Class A - League B contest, on Tuesday, October 21. Lakeland will attempt to better on its 14-1 season record. The Foxes go into the contest with a 18-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Somers (Lincolndale, NY).

With the loss, Yorktown moves to 10-7 on the year. The Huskers host Harrison (Harrison, NY) to face the Huskies in a non-league contest on Tuesday, October 21. The Huskies go into the contest with a record of 7-8. Harrison lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Nyack (Upper Nyack, NY)
