(January 28, 2008: Scarsdale, NY 10583) The Edgemont Panthers basketball team (Scarsdale, NY), was nudged 55-50 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Rye Garnets (Rye, NY)

The Garnets now possess a 9-8 record. They play next when they host Eastchester for a Section 1 III - B battle on Wednesday, January 30. Rye will battle a Eagles team coming off a 41-37 league loss to Pelham Memorial (Pelham, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 1-14.

The Panthers (10-5) will now prepare for their battle against Woodlands (Hartsdale, NY). The Falcons come into the non-league battle with a 13-2 record. In their last battle, Woodlands edged Ardsley (Ardsley, NY), 63-43, in a league battle.
