New York High School Volleyball - Lakeland over Brewster

(September 18, 2008: Brewster, NY 10509) In Thursday's league contest, the Lakeland Hornets (Shrub Oak, NY) volleyball squad knocked off the host Brewster Bears (Brewster, NY), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Hornets battle the Greeley Quakers (Chappaqua, NY) in a Section 1 Class A - League B contest, on Friday, September 19. Lakeland will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Quakers come into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 3-0 league loss to Brewster (Brewster, NY).

With the loss, Brewster drops to 4-1 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Somers (Lincolndale, NY) to battle the Tuskers in a Section 1 Class A - League B contest on Friday, September 19. The Tuskers come into the contest with a record of 2-3. Somers lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Jay (Cross River, NY)
