New York High School Soccer - Rye Neck knocks off Westlake

(October 2, 2008: Mamaroneck, NY 10543) Rye Neck Panthers (Mamaroneck, NY) supporters were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Westlake Wildcats (Thornwood, NY), 6-3 in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers battle the Valhalla Vikings (Valhalla, NY) in a Conference 4 Central League challenge, on Saturday, October 4. Rye Neck will attempt to better on its 9-0 season record. The Vikings go into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 5-1 league loss to Dobbs Ferry (Dobbs Ferry, NY).

The Wildcats now possess a 7-3 record. They play next when they host Putnam Valley for a Conference 3 League A challenge on Saturday, October 4. Westlake will battle a Tigers team coming off a 9-0 league loss to Nanuet (Nanuet, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 1-9.
