New York High School Basketball - Port Chester routs Tappan Zee

(January 17, 2008: Port Chester, NY 10573) In Thursday's league outing, the Port Chester Rams (Port Chester, NY) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Tappan Zee Dutchmen (Orangeburg, NY), by a count of 77-52.

The Rams (10-5) will now prepare for their outing against Spring Valley (Spring Valley, NY). The Tigers go into the Section 1 II - South outing with a 8-7 record. In their last outing, Spring Valley was crushed by Tappan Zee (Orangeburg, NY), 67-63, in a league challenge.

Next up, the Dutchmen play the Pearl River Pirates (Pearl River, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 19. Tappan Zee will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 11-1 record after their 74-63 league win over Irvington (Irvington, NY).
