New York High School Basketball - Putnam Valley topples Pleasantville

(February 5, 2008: Putnam Valley, NY 10579) In Tuesday's league outing, the Putnam Valley Tigers (Putnam Valley, NY) basketball squad beat the visiting Pleasantville Panthers (Pleasantville, NY), by a count of 61-50.

The Tigers (8-11) will now prepare for their outing against Byram Hills (Armonk, NY). The Bobcats go into the Section 1 III - A outing with a 13-6 record. In their last outing, Byram Hills gained a win over Kennedy Catholic (Somers, NY), 50-43, in a league outing.

The Panthers now hold a 3-16 record. They take the field next when they host Westlake for a Section 1 III - A outing on Thursday, February 7. Pleasantville will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 39-35 league loss to Byram Hills (Armonk, NY). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-12.
