New York High School Basketball - Leake-Watts overwhelmed by Woodlands

(January 19, 2008: Hartsdale, NY 10530) The Leake-Watts Lions basketball team (Yonkers, NY), was overwhelmed 82-59 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Woodlands Falcons (Hartsdale, NY)

The Falcons now possess a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Pelham Memorial for a Section 1 III - B battle on Friday, January 25. Woodlands will battle a Pelicans team coming off a 43-37 non-league loss to Yorktown (Yorktown Heights, NY). The Pelicans record now stands at 7-7.

The Lions (7-5) will now prepare for their battle against Schechter (Hartsdale, NY). The Lions come into the Section 1 IV - A battle with a 7-9 record. In their last battle, Schechter was overwhelmed by Keio (Purchase, NY), 50-35, in a non-league battle.
