New York High School Basketball - Ardsley can't hold off Tappan Zee

(January 22, 2008: Ardsley, NY 10502) The Ardsley Panthers basketball team (Ardsley, NY), was nudged 68-61 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Tappan Zee Dutchmen (Orangeburg, NY)

The Dutchmen now sport a 9-5 record. They play next when they host Spring Valley for a Section 1 II - South battle on Friday, January 25. Tappan Zee will meet a Tigers team coming off a 64-51 non-league win over Wyandanch (Wyandanch, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 8-6.

The Panthers (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Rye (Rye, NY). The Garnets come into the Section 1 III - B battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Rye edged Pelham Memorial (Pelham, NY), 51-45, in a league battle.
