New York High School Basketball - Briarcliff fells Kennedy Catholic

(January 30, 2008: Somers, NY 10589) Briarcliff Bears (Briarcliff Manor, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Kennedy Catholic Gaels (Somers, NY), 49-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Briarcliff upgrades its record to 18-1 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Pleasantville (Pleasantville, NY) to play the Panthers in a Section 1 III - A bout on Friday, February 1. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 3-14. Pleasantville won 46-29 in their recent non-league bout against Fox Lane (Bedford, NY)

Next up, the Gaels play the Westlake Wildcats (Thornwood, NY) in a Section 1 III - A bout, on Friday, February 1. Kennedy Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 37-32 league loss to Putnam Valley (Putnam Valley, NY).
