New York High School Basketball - Pearl River can't hold off Magnus

(January 11, 2008: Pearl River, NY 10965) Magnus Falcons (Bardonia, NY) followers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their basketball team get by the host Pearl River Pirates (Pearl River, NY), 39-38 in a league contest.

The Falcons now sport a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Irvington for a Section 1 III - C contest on Monday, January 14. Magnus will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 67-54 league loss to Nanuet (Nanuet, NY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-2.

Coming up next, the Pirates meet the Hastings Yellow Jackets (Hastings on Hudson, NY) in a Section 1 III - C contest, on Monday, January 14. Pearl River will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the contest with a 5-8 record after their 50-46 non-league loss to Dobbs Ferry (Dobbs Ferry, NY).
