New York High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon winner over White Plains

(January 29, 2008: Mt. Vernon, NY 10552) The Mt. Vernon Knights (Mt. Vernon, NY) basketball knocked off the visiting White Plains Tigers (White Plains, NY), 80-66 in Tuesday's league test.

The Knights (12-3) will now prepare for their test against New Rochelle (New Rochelle, NY). The Huguenots go into the Section 1 I - A test with a 12-3 record. In their last test, New Rochelle topped White Plains (White Plains, NY), 92-84, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they host Scarsdale for a Section 1 I - A test on Thursday, January 31. White Plains will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 55-49 league win over Mamaroneck (Mamaroneck, NY). The Raiders record now stands at 15-2.
