New York High School Basketball - Suffern overwhelms Jay

(December 18, 2007: Hopewell Junction, NY 12533) Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Suffern Mounties (Suffern, NY) and the host Jay Patriots (Hopewell Junction, NY), saw Suffern's basketball squad trounce Jay by a score of 75-47.

With the victory, Suffern improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Mounties travel to Tappan Zee (Orangeburg, NY) to battle the Dutchmen in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 21. The Dutchmen come into the challenge with a record of 5-1. Tappan Zee won 52-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Pleasantville (Pleasantville, NY)

Next up, the Patriots battle the Beacon Bulldogs (Beacon, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 29. Jay will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 70-50 non-league loss to Arlington (LaGrangeville, NY).
