New York High School Basketball - Nanuet topples Edgemont

(January 7, 2008: Scarsdale, NY 10583) In Monday's non-league outing, the visiting Nanuet Golden Knights basketball squad scored a nice 61-48 win over the Edgemont Panthers.

Next, the Golden Knights encounter the Pearl River Pirates (Pearl River, NY) in a Section 1 III - C outing, on Tuesday, January 8. Nanuet will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record. The Pirates go into the outing with a 5-2 record after their 62-28 league win over Sleepy Hollow (Sleepy Hollow, NY).

The Panthers now hold a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Pelham Memorial for a Section 1 III - B outing on Thursday, January 10. Edgemont will encounter a Pelicans squad coming off a 45-38 league win over Ardsley (Ardsley, NY). The Pelicans record now stands at 8-3.
