New York High School Volleyball - Rye over Nanuet

(September 16, 2008: Nanuet, NY 10954) The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Rye Garnets (Rye, NY) and the host Nanuet Golden Knights (Nanuet, NY), saw Rye's volleyball squad beat Nanuet by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Rye upgrades its record to 3-1 on the year. The Garnets host Edgemont (Scarsdale, NY) to play the Panthers in a Section 1 Class B - League B bout on Wednesday, September 17. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 4-0. Edgemont won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Woodlands (Hartsdale, NY)

The Golden Knights now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they host Pearl River for a Section 1 Class B - League C bout on Wednesday, September 17. Nanuet will play a Pirates squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Tappan Zee (Orangeburg, NY). The Pirates record now stands at 0-4.
