(January 13, 2008: Paterson, NJ 07514) The Paterson Catholic Cougars basketball team (Paterson, NJ), was nudged 66-60 in Sunday's non-league battle with the visiting Mt. Vernon Knights (Mt. Vernon, NY)

The Knights now possess a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Scarsdale for a Section 1 I - A battle on Thursday, January 17. Mt. Vernon will meet a Raiders team coming off a 66-60 league loss to New Rochelle (New Rochelle, NY). The Raiders record now stands at 12-1.

The Cougars (8-2) will now prepare for their battle against Saddle Brook (Saddle Brook, NJ). The Falcons come into the Bergen/Passaic - Carpenter battle with a 4-1 record.
