New York High School Volleyball - North Rockland over Gorton

(September 18, 2008: Thiells, NY 10984) The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the North Rockland Raiders (Thiells, NY) and the visiting Gorton Wolves (Yonkers, NY), saw North Rockland's volleyball squad beat Gorton by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, North Rockland upgrades its record to 6-0 on the year. The Raiders host New Rochelle (New Rochelle, NY) to play the Huguenots in a non-league bout on Monday, September 22. The Huguenots go into the bout with a record of 1-6. New Rochelle lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Suffern (Suffern, NY)

The Wolves now own a 0-7 record. They play next when they travel to Mahopac for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 20. Gorton will play a Indians squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Panas (Cortlandt Manor, NY). The Indians record now stands at 2-5.
