New York High School Basketball - Briarcliff trounces Eastchester

(January 12, 2008: Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510) The Briarcliff Bears crushed the visiting Eastchester Eagles basketball squad by a margin of 69-22 in Saturday's non-league test.

Next, the Bears clash with the Croton-Harmon Tigers (Croton on Hudson, NY) in a Section 1 III - A test, on Monday, January 14. Briarcliff will attempt to advance on its 13-1 season record. The Tigers go into the test with a 1-12 record after their 48-30 league loss to Westlake (Thornwood, NY).

The Eagles now own a 1-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ardsley for a Section 1 III - B test on Monday, January 14. Eastchester will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 45-38 league loss to Pelham Memorial (Pelham, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 3-7.
