New York High School Football - Jay can't get by Jay

(September 21, 2006: Hopewell Junction, NY 12533) The Jay Patriots football squad (Hopewell Junction, NY), was nipped 13-7 in Thursday's league test with the visiting Jay Indians (Cross River, NY)

With the victory, Jay upgrades its record to 3-0 on the year. The Indians travel to Carmel (Carmel, NY) to battle the Rams in a Section 1 AA - North test on Friday, September 29. The Rams come into the test with a record of 2-1. Carmel won 27-6 in their recent league game against Yorktown Heights (Yorktown Heights, NY)

The Patriots now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Poughkeepsie for a Section 1 AA - North game on Saturday, September 30. Jay will meet a Pioneers team coming off a 20-13 league win over Ketcham (Wappingers Falls, NY). The Pioneers record now stands at 3-0.
