(January 30, 2008: Thornwood, NY 10594) The Westlake Wildcats basketball team (Thornwood, NY), was nudged 37-32 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Putnam Valley Tigers (Putnam Valley, NY)

The Tigers now possess a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Byram Hills for a Section 1 III - A battle on Friday, February 1. Putnam Valley will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 52-24 league win over Croton-Harmon (Croton on Hudson, NY). The Bobcats record now stands at 11-6.

The Wildcats (6-10) will now prepare for their battle against Kennedy Catholic (Somers, NY). The Gaels enter the Section 1 III - A contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Kennedy Catholic was nudged by Briarcliff (Briarcliff Manor, NY), 49-39, in a league contest.
