New York High School Basketball - Scarsdale succumbs to Mt. Vernon

(January 17, 2008: Scarsdale, NY 10583) The Mt. Vernon Knights topped the host Scarsdale Raiders basketball team by a final score of 79-71 in Thursday's league game.

In their next game, the Knights face the Union Farmers (Union, NJ) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 19. Mt. Vernon will attempt to move on its 9-2 season record. The Farmers enter the game with a 5-2 record after their 60-54 non-league loss to Watchung Hills Regional (Warren, NJ).

With the defeat, Scarsdale moves to 12-2 on the year. The Raiders travel to Clarkstown South (West Nyack, NY) to face the Vikings in a non-league game on Saturday, January 19. The Vikings enter the game with a record of 9-5. Clarkstown South won 59-53 in their recent league game against Suffern (Suffern, NY)
