New York High School Basketball - Poughkeepsie fells Panas

(December 18, 2007: Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567) Poughkeepsie Pioneers (Poughkeepsie, NY) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Panas Panthers (Cortlandt Manor, NY), 72-53 in a league bout.

With the victory, Poughkeepsie upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie, NY) to play the Warriors in a Section 1 II - North bout on Thursday, December 20. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Our Lady of Lourdes won 60-53 in their recent league bout against Ossining (Ossining, NY)

Next up, the Panthers play the Sleepy Hollow Horsemen (Sleepy Hollow, NY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 28. Panas will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Horsemen come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 60-54 non-league loss to Rye (Rye, NY).
