New York High School Soccer - Rye knocks off Woodlands

(September 25, 2008: Hartsdale, NY 10530) Rye Garnets (Rye, NY) supporters were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Woodlands Falcons (Hartsdale, NY), 6-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Garnets battle the Edgemont Panthers (Scarsdale, NY) in a Conference 3 League B challenge, on Saturday, September 27. Rye will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record. The Panthers go into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 3-0 league loss to Byram Hills (Armonk, NY).

The Falcons now possess a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Pearl River for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 2. Woodlands will battle a Pirates team coming off a 2-1 league win over Magnus (Bardonia, NY). The Pirates record now stands at 7-2.
