New York High School Basketball - Tuckahoe holds off Leake-Watts

(January 17, 2008: Yonkers, NY 10705) Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Tuckahoe Tigers (Eastchester, NY) and the host Leake-Watts Lions (Yonkers, NY), saw Tuckahoe's basketball squad hold off Leake-Watts by a score of 55-49.

With the victory, Tuckahoe improves its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Eastchester (Eastchester, NY) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 18. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 9-4. Eastchester lost 60-58 in their recent league challenge against Ardsley (Ardsley, NY)

Next up, the Lions play the Clark Academy Knights (Greenburgh, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 18. Leake-Watts will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Knights come into the battle with a 6-4 record after their 69-49 league win over Keio (Purchase, NY).
