New York High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon routs Mamaroneck

(January 25, 2008: Mamaroneck, NY 10543) In Friday's league outing, the Mt. Vernon Knights (Mt. Vernon, NY) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Mamaroneck Tigers (Mamaroneck, NY), by a margin of 69-36.

The Knights (14-0) will now prepare for their outing against Kennedy (Bronx, NY). The Knights go into the non-league outing with a 11-4 record. In their last outing, Kennedy was trounced by Manhattan Center for Science & Math (New York, NY), 55-50, in a league outing.

The Tigers now own a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Scarsdale for a Section 1 I - A outing on Tuesday, January 29. Mamaroneck will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 38-34 non-league win over Lakeland (Shrub Oak, NY). The Raiders record now stands at 8-6.
