New York High School Basketball - Yorktown ripped by Briarcliff

(January 26, 2008: Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510) The Briarcliff Bears basketball team scored 74 points and held the visiting Yorktown Huskers to 34 in the Bears non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bears now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Byram Hills for a Section 1 III - A contest on Monday, January 28. Briarcliff will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 51-37 league win over Pleasantville (Pleasantville, NY). The Bobcats record now stands at 10-5.

The Huskers (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against Brewster (Brewster, NY). The Bears enter the Section 1 II - Central contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Brewster trounced Dover (Dover Plains, NY), 66-62, in a non-league contest.
