New York High School Football - Lincoln routed by Mt. Vernon

(October 6, 2007: Yonkers, NY 10704) In Saturday's league game, the Mt. Vernon Knights (Mt. Vernon, NY) football team smashed the host Lincoln Lancers (Yonkers, NY), by a score of 33-0.

The Knights (5-0) will now prepare for their game against New Rochelle (New Rochelle, NY). The Huguenots come into the Section 1 AA - South game with a 5-0 record. In their last game, New Rochelle overwhelmed Gorton (Yonkers, NY), 24-0, in a league game.

The Lancers now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they host Roosevelt for a Section 1 AA - South game on Saturday, October 13. Lincoln will meet a Indians team coming off a 14-12 league win over Saunders Trades & Tech (Yonkers, NY). The Indians record now stands at 1-4.
