New York High School Volleyball - Tappan Zee tips Pearl River

(September 15, 2008: Pearl River, NY 10965) The Tappan Zee Dutchmen (Orangeburg, NY) volleyball nudged the host Pearl River Pirates (Pearl River, NY), 3-2 in Monday's non-league outing.

With the win, Tappan Zee betters its record to 1-1 on the year. The Dutchmen host Nyack (Upper Nyack, NY) to face the Indians in a Section 1 Class A - League C outing on Tuesday, September 16. The Indians go into the outing with a record of 2-1. Nyack won 3-1 in their recent non-league outing against Magnus (Bardonia, NY)

The Pirates now sport a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Nanuet for a Section 1 Class B - League C outing on Wednesday, September 17. Pearl River will face a Golden Knights squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Rye (Rye, NY). The Golden Knights record now stands at 0-4.
