New York High School Basketball - Pearl River prevails Nanuet

(January 30, 2008: Nanuet, NY 10954) Pearl River Pirates (Pearl River, NY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Nanuet Golden Knights (Nanuet, NY), 68-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Pearl River upgrades its record to 14-2 on the season. The Pirates host Rye (Rye, NY) to encounter the Garnets in a non-league bout on Sunday, February 3. The Garnets go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Rye lost 72-55 in their recent league bout against Yonkers (Yonkers, NY)

Next up, the Golden Knights encounter the Irvington Bulldogs (Irvington, NY) in a Section 1 III - C bout, on Friday, February 1. Nanuet will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 58-41 league win over Sleepy Hollow (Sleepy Hollow, NY).
