(September 7, 2008: Pleasantville, NY 10570) In Sunday's non-league match, the visiting Rye Garnets football squad scored a good 20-7 victory over the Pleasantville Panthers.

In their next game, the Garnets clash with the Nanuet Golden Knights (Nanuet, NY) in a Section 1 B-1 match, on Friday, September 12. Rye will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Golden Knights enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 27-8 non-league win over Putnam Valley (Putnam Valley, NY).
