(January 31, 2008: New Rochelle, NY 10801) Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Mt. Vernon Knights (Mt. Vernon, NY) and the host New Rochelle Huguenots (New Rochelle, NY), saw Mt. Vernon's basketball squad knock off New Rochelle by a score of 57-42.

With the victory, Mt. Vernon improves its record to 16-1 on the campaign. The Knights host Ursuline (New Rochelle, NY) to battle the Koalas in a Section 1 I - A challenge on Monday, February 4. The Koalas come into the challenge with a record of 13-4. Ursuline won 42-23 in their recent league challenge against Mamaroneck (Mamaroneck, NY)

Next up, the Huguenots battle the Scarsdale Raiders (Scarsdale, NY) in a Section 1 I - A challenge, on Monday, February 4. New Rochelle will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 53-43 league win over White Plains (White Plains, NY).
