(February 9, 2008: Philadelphia, PA 19107) In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Mt. Vernon Knights basketball team scored a tight 74-73 triumph over the Roman Catholic Cahillite.

In their next game, the Knights face the Lincoln Lancers (Yonkers, NY) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 15. Mt. Vernon will attempt to move on its 17-3 season record. The Lancers enter the match with a 10-11 record after their 77-71 non-league win over Greeley (Chappaqua, NY).
