New York High School Basketball - Gorton overwhelms Saunders Trades & Tech

(February 4, 2008: Yonkers, NY 10703) Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Gorton Wolves (Yonkers, NY) and the visiting Saunders Trades & Tech Blue Devils (Yonkers, NY), saw Gorton's basketball squad trounce Saunders Trades & Tech by a score of 80-57.

With the victory, Gorton improves its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Clarkstown South (West Nyack, NY) to battle the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 5. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 10-8. Clarkstown South won 56-52 in their recent league challenge against Clarkstown North (New City, NY)

Next up, the Blue Devils battle the Roosevelt Indians (Yonkers, NY) in a Section 1 I - D challenge, on Wednesday, February 6. Saunders Trades & Tech will attempt to improve on its 3-15 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 64-57 non-league win over Spring Valley (Spring Valley, NY).
