New York High School Basketball - Beacon prevails Peekskill

(February 8, 2008: Peekskill, NY 10566) Beacon Bulldogs (Beacon, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Peekskill Red Devils (Peekskill, NY), 58-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Beacon upgrades its record to 18-2 on the season.

Next up, the Red Devils encounter the Mahopac Indians (Mahopac, NY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 11. Peekskill will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 10-9 record after their 59-46 league loss to Jay (Hopewell Junction, NY).
