New York High School Basketball - Salesian winner over Hawthorne Cedar Knolls

(January 25, 2008: New Rochelle, NY 10801) In Friday's league outing, the Salesian Eagles (New Rochelle, NY) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Hawthorne Cedar Knolls (Hawthorne, NY), by a margin of 71-57.

The Eagles (3-12) will now prepare for their outing against St. Agnes (New York, NY). The Stags go into the Catholic B outing with a 13-6 record. In their last outing, St. Agnes topped Sacred Heart (Yonkers, NY), 58-45, in a league outing.

The now own a 3-10 record. They take the field next when they host North Salem for a Section 1 IV - C outing on Monday, January 28. Hawthorne Cedar Knolls will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 63-55 non-league win over Kennedy Catholic (Somers, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 11-1.
