New York High School Basketball - Yonkers prevails Sacred Heart

(January 25, 2008: Yonkers, NY 10703) Yonkers Bulldogs (Yonkers, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Sacred Heart Irish (Yonkers, NY), 51-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Yonkers upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Edgemont (Scarsdale, NY) to encounter the Panthers in a Section 1 III - B bout on Wednesday, January 30. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 4-11. Edgemont lost 73-50 in their recent league bout against Rye (Rye, NY)

Next up, the Irish encounter the Blessed Sacrament St. Gabriel Cardinals (New Rochelle, NY) in a Catholic B bout, on Sunday, January 27. Sacred Heart will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record.
