New York High School Football - Irvington succumbs to Briarcliff

(September 27, 2008: Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510) The Briarcliff Bears thwarted the visiting Irvington Bulldogs football team by a count of 14-6 in Saturday's non-league outing.

With the win, Briarcliff upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Bears host Kennedy Catholic (Somers, NY) to confront the Gaels in a Section 1 B-2 outing on Saturday, October 4. The Gaels go into the outing with a record of 2-2. Kennedy Catholic won 35-13 in their recent non-league outing against Magnus (Bardonia, NY)

With the loss, Irvington moves to 0-4 on the season. The Bulldogs host Rye (Rye, NY) to confront the Garnets in a Section 1 B-1 outing on Saturday, October 4. The Garnets go into the outing with a record of 4-0. Rye won 28-3 in their recent non-league outing against Harrison (Harrison, NY)
